I have problem installing appx

I have tried to install through winget but it gives me an error, I have tried to try some winget commands. but it gives me error.

The only command that works for me is:
Add-AppxPackage "C:\Users\Cabger1990\Desktop\Microsoft.ZuneMusic_11.2303.9.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe.msixbundle"

I wish someone could create an Installer appx, msixbundle to Context Menu for those who have similar problems like mine.

I just had the same problem with "winget".

    Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
DesktopApp Installer (which includes winget command) is corrupted. This is why clicking on the file in Explorer doesn't work.

Since you already know how to download packages, find Microsoft.DesktopAppInstaller_8wekyb3d8bbwe and run the same Add-AppxPackage command to install it. That should fix both problems.

Try the usual reset for Appx packages:
Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

DISABLE non-Microsoft:
a) antivirus software
b) firewall software
c) drive encryption software

Make a full OS backup with a program like Macrium Reflect or AOMEI Backupper Standard

Get the Windows 11 ISO image and save it to your desktop...

Right click the ISO image and choose: MOUNT
Open File Explorer and you will see a new drive letter. It will "look" like a DVD optical drive.
Double click the new drive letter to open it.
Find setup.exe and double click it to start the in-place upgrade.

Choose the Keep personal files and apps option.

After it's all done... to UNmount the ISO image, right click the new drive letter and choose: EJECT.


The ONLY thing you will lose is some of your personalizations.
Your drivers, programs and data will be intact.
