Hello guys.

Considering that i have my current system information listed in my profile i would like to ask if people could help me out with this.

My PC manual says there is a M.2 slot on my motherboard. Now i know there are 2 types of integrated SSD sticks. NVMe and M.2. I have also seen photos of the differences to the connector side on these 2 types.

Would a NVMe SSD work in a M.2 slot? And if yes will there be any limitations? Is it better just going with a M.2 (Non NVMe) SSD?

Will i see any major differences in daily use (not data transfer speeds) if i choose a M.2 instead of a NVMe?

Thanks

Looks like that model supports NVMe drives, which is the faster of the 2 anyway and the one that you want.

Where exactly have you read that it supports NVMe? Thanks

i edited my original post and linked to the page I was looking at. Also googled that model that seemed to be everything showing PCIe for the interface for the m.2 slot.

Just a small clarification about the two types of drive. M.2 is the form factor and NVME and SATA are the interfaces with both fitting in the same slot, but keyed differently (with some keyed for both).
