Win 11 Pro 64-bit OS; v.23H2 06/25/224 Build: 22631.3880
Dell Laptop Core i7Gen9 2.59Ghz
16 GB Memory (15.8 GB useable)
My El Gato HD60S+ capture card was acting squirrelly, so I opened Task Manager. Memory use seemed high. After re-booting, using Task Manager I closed all Apps running and any Background Programs that I could identify as un-needed. No individual program is using more than 1 or 2%, and the rest are using 0.1% each. My total Memory usage is 34%. Considering my 16GB of RAM this seems high. CPU usage at this time is 2%.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that all drivers are up to date, and I scanned with Win Defender and Malware Bytes
I will try anything that reduces Windows bloat. A YouTube video depicts a procedure for creating a detailed script for the creation of an unattended install. It claims to reduce Memory usage considerably. It sounds like a lot of time would be involved creating this script, but it appears I could do a full reinstall at any time with virtually no effort. Can anyone yea or nay this idea?
Thanks for taking the time to read this...
