OS
Windows 11
It looks like an issue is leftover from Windows 10. I want to customize the text highlight color to match Title Bar. When the "Advanced Colors" option was disabled in Windows 10 the proposed workaround was to edit in the Registry under HKEY>CURRENTUSER>CONTROL PANEL>COLORS. However, the revised color would only work at login. After the computer goes to sleep and wakes, the color is reverted back to the Default Windows Blue. A restart will again give the color I want but only until sleep. I read that others had the same problem but I never found a solution. I just checked and is still behaves the same in Windows 11. Out of curiosity, did anyone ever find a solution?

Does the same key structure appear in HKey>LocalMachine?

Although it's still odd - if you're machine is going to sleep, it's not logging out of the user, so it should be loading those same values. As for anyone finding a solution here - @Brink might be able to help more, as there are tons of tutorials across all our sister sites, but I suspect that, as you noted, it's something that Microsoft has never gotten around to fixing.

Perhaps it might be a good idea to make a feedback report about it.

Hello, :-)

I haven't tested this in Windows 11, but it should be the same as in Windows 10 below. It sounds like what you may have done, but there may be a bug if it doesn't persist even after a restart.

I changed the theme color for the title bar to gold and ever title bar shows the text in black except File Explorer which shows text in white.

Edit: Don't know what happened, but the text is now correct in all title bars - Windows 11 is a trip into the unknown. Can't mark this solved because it is a mystery.
