Hotmail synced with GMail?

Hi,

I had my Hotmail and Yahoo email accounts added to my Gmail.

In Settings > Accounts > removed both Hotmail and accounts. Yahoo got added via gmailify with none issues, not yet synced though. Now I want to readd Hotmail too. While doing it, at the end I get an error about POP access...?? It's on default 110 Port, should it be changed to a different one, if yes yes which? Earlier had none issues.

Hoping to hear back from the experts.

Use IMAP and dump POP. If you want POP3, you need to change Port & SSL.

  • IMAP. Server: imap-mail.outlook.com. SSL: true-implicit. Port: 993 (default) User: pat@hotmail.com.
  • POP3. Server: pop-mail.outlook.com. SSL: true-implicit. Port: 995 (default) User: pat@hotmail.com.
  • SMTP. Server: smtp-mail.outlook.com. SSL: true-explicit. Port: 587 (default)

I can't have 2 accounts on Gmailify. Yahoo is linked to it. I used POP 993 as shown by you for Hotmail but doesn't get linked like before....
