Solved How can I find out my Office license key ?

I bought an Office Professional Plus 2016 license in 2020.

I bought an Office Professional Plus 2016 license in 2022.

I don't remember why I bought 2 licenses because I had only 1 laptop on Windows.

I have a new laptop. I want to move my Office license to the new unit. The old unit will see Office uninstalled and the unit will be donated to a person who will not need Office.

I tried to find out my Office license key directly on the laptop but the internet tells me that there is no need to do this because my Microsoft Account knows. I signed into my Microsoft Account. My Microsoft Account uses my gmail address as an identifier. I know my Microsoft Account password, for sure. I am being asked to create an Outlook email address. I cannot proceed without doing so. I do not want an email address that I will never use. I am being blocked from using my Microsoft Account just because I don't want yet another email address.

How can I find out which of my Office license keys is being used on this old laptop ? I do not want to end up buying a third license.

Thanks. I ran the command line "cscript" program and got the last 5 characters of the key and it does match the key from 2022 so as far as I know, there will be no risk in proceeding to use it on my new laptop.

Unfortunately, since 2013, all office keys are encrypted and keyfinders no longer work.

So even if you identify an encrypted sequence, it will not let you use it to activate MS Office.
