How Do i Get Rid Of IT

I feel like theres a problem with windows security that keeps on deleting something but its blocked.
Its Also the same thing with the firewall

I already resetted my group policy aswell!

How about provide more details on things you have done to modify your system? Otherwise people are just wasting their time guessing.

My impression this is just a new (double) thread about the same problem as here:

My Opera Gx Keeps on deleting itself and i cant find the reason why. I have turned of my AVG Antivirus checked if CCleaner was an antivirus. and disabled my firewal completly by cmd Im on an system administrator runned computer and some stuff it controlled by IT. If you know my past situation...

You still have GPOs in place.

I applied GPOs and can re-produce the message

Is this WIndows Pro? If so, run “gpedit.msc.

Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Security.

ALL the keys below will that key should have policies that are "Not Configured".

Take a look and report back.

Of course, if you actually have an IT Department... this would not be the path to take.

Did you reboot or run 'gpupdate /force'?

Did you happen to set them via the registry? If yes you need to delete everything under HKLM:\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender Security Center

Hi @Psycero

1. As a precaution have you run a full virus scan to make sure there is no malware on your computer?
2. Have you run sfc /scannow from an elevated Command Prompt to check for corrupt system files?
3. Tried looking in the Event Viewer for any errors logged that might help you?
4. Open the Services app (services.msc) and check that the 'Security Center' is running.

My fault because I suggested a new thread. I highly doubt that this would be exclusively related to Opera GX .
A new thread about trying to remove IT policies or whatever causes this message, would attract people who know more about issues like this.

I personally don’t think it’s a double post in any way.

I doubt there's any "IT", smells more like AVG. But that's just my hunch.

Interesting thought. OP could try temporarily disabling the AV or checking inside the AV for any notifications that might be helpful.

One is about Opera GX, one is about IT policies. The fact that the Opera thread crosses over to Policy removal should hold no bearing. Can we not just help the guy

Totally uninstall AVG. Windows Defender should take over so don’t worry. See if that makes a difference, if not just reinstall it.
The IT popup issue is still a conundrum if you did a thorough search for policies associated with your PC

I’ve never tried this:

Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
Type:
gpresult /h "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\GPReport.html" /f
Press Enter
This creates a report on your desktop called GPReport.html. Open it in a browser to see detailed Group Policy settings.

3rd-party AV's have been known to block/delete apps and break Security Center when something goes wrong. If we're to assume @Psycero didn't apply GPO's, and can't reset Security Center then AVG can be treated as a suspect.

If it's not a paid subscription, there's nothing lost by uninstalling it (since OP can always re-install any 3rd-party security product later on).
