Solved How do you see OEM logo?

Hello!

I was updating Windows 11 on my test laptop (see 1st system specs) and I also downloaded Winaero Tweaker and had a look in the available settings. I went to the OEM Information section and put some custom data, such as Acer Extensa 5630EZ model, Support hours 11:00-18:00 etc. I also put an OEM logo, the same as my Elevenforum avatar. I went to Settings->System->About and I can see the info I put there, except for the OEM logo. Where can I see it? Does that apply to Windows 11 or Windows 10 only? By the way, is it possible to see the "traditional" system info in the "traditional" Control Panel like in Windows 7, 8 and earlier Windows 10 versions, or the System Info is only accessible via the modern Settings app?

The OEM Logo was on ever seen on the classic version of Control Panel > System.

This still works in Windows 10, but not in Windows 11.

Thank you for your quick response. I had seen that, tried and failed. It seems it only works in Windows 10. Any other trick appreciated.

If you run it with explorer.exe shell it is directed to settings.

You can use a shortcut. Create a folder on the dektop and name it System.{BB06C0E4-D293-4f75-8A90-CB05B6477EEE}

It still says windows 10 on the logo

I know this works on win7 , and trying it on win11 also works.

Well, it says both. Windows 11 in the text and Windows 10 as a graphic. Yay! My OEM Logo is still there

I created a shortcut and copy-pasted the command. In Windows 10 it worked. In Windows 11 it didn't work. Please explain the folder method. I create a folder with the command instead of a shortcut? I will try that later.

Create a new folder on you desktop. Then rename it as System.{BB06C0E4-D293-4f75-8A90-CB05B6477EEE}

It worked! No matter it says Windows 10, I think this is the default OEM logo if no custom OEM logo is defined. It will change as soon as I define a custom OEM logo. I'll check and see and report here.

Alex has Pro Workstation, that may explain it. My Win11 Home has the W10 graphic in the 'Windows edition' section. Or it could be due to a clean install vs. my W10 to W11 upgrade.

They are two separate logos, I defined a custom logo years before the W11 upgrade, but still see the 'Windows 10' one as well.

Well, the blue "Windows 10" logo top right remains, and underneath goes the custom OEM logo. Who cares. Thanks, I'll mark the thread solved.

PS: My Digital was my computer store back in 2010s, now closed due to the economic crisis. But you can call me for service in Athens, Greece, if you need to.

PS2: Why not add this trick to the Tutorials, just in case anyone wants to use it?

I've just done a quick straw poll of my VMs. The Dev build 25145.100 has no logo at all there, while the Beta 22621 build has the blue Windows 10 one.

If you go to System Properties in Control Panel it opens the Settings, System, Info instead. Only the trick with the special folder works. Once you create it you can rename to whatever you want (I renamed mine into System Properties classic).

Tip: Last color at the borders of the image becomes transparent. To avoid that select another color and make a square surrounding the image. In my cystom logo I replaced the black area outside the circle with a dark blue and added a thin black border. Now my logo has the background as I want and only the thin border became transparent.

That path should not be possible, and if you try to type in the path 'Control Panel\System and Security\System' yourself it opens System in Settings.

Maybe its a feature now only available in Pro for Workstations, look a bit lower down....

The path would be valid if you could see System Properties in Control Panel without being redirected to System Info in Settings. Manually navigating there opens System Info in Settings.
