Solved How do you uninstall a program that's not listed anywhere but still runs?

I bought a Corsair H150I AIO cooler because it could show the CPU pump temperature, among other things, through ICue software. This evening, ICue auto updated itself and in the process, the CPU temp display was not an option anymore.

I checked Control Panel/Programs to uninstall it and ICue wasn't listed. I ran both RevoUninstaller and Absolute Uninstaller and ICue wasn't listed there either.

I have an older version of ICue to install but it won't run because it says a newer version is already installed.

So, how can I get rid of a program that isn't listed anywhere. The Corsair program folder has the ICue files in it but no uninstaller.

It's not listed in any uninstall programs including Revo and Absolute (we're looking at Corsair ICue, not ICue):

According to my use of iCue software (and as far as I know, according to Corsair) there is one iCue software. Are you running something else from Corsair and not telling us the correct name. Are you running iCue SDK or something?

this is what it would be listed as in revo. just took this on mine

check and see if you have "%systemdrive%\Program Files\Corsair\Corsair iCUE5 Software"

IMO that's an indication it's not fully installed. I would try to install the same version of ICUE. Then see if it shows up in Revo as uninstallable.
Some install executables also include a repair option.

But did you check settings>apps>installed apps>3 dots

if folder is there, use revo in target/hunter mode and see if it works

OK, apparently the automatic software update really screwed up the package. I went to Corsair's iCue website and downloaded the most recent installer package. I manually stopped iCue in task manager and renamed the iCue folder in program folders (installer said that the required folder was not empty) and created an empty folder. Installer went ahead to a successful completion and all the sensor options are now back in the program (including the CPU package). Corsair iCue software is now back in Control Panel/Programs again.

Going to turn off automatic update installation so this doesn't happen again.

Bit late now, but for anyone else ...

I occasionally have to resort to GeekUninstaller (freeware) which can often sniff out programs not seen by other uninstallers, incl my go to favourite Revo
