How many devices in your Microsoft account?

Does anyone know how many PCs you can have listed as devices in your Microsoft Account? I know there's a limit of 10 devices you can connect to the store....

....but I can't find any documented limit on Devices that you have linked to your MS Account by signing into them with an MS account. I'm up to 15 so far....

Yes they do, every activated VM has its own separate digital licence, a VM is a separate device just like any other machine. And linking that digital licence to your MS account means you can transfer it to another machine, virtual or otherwise, using the activation troubleshooter.

Of my 15, three are VMs.

I have 2 Devices in my Microsoft Account---Main Gaming Desktop (PC 1) and Secondary Gaming Laptop PC 2--used a little less these days lol than PC 1 lol, but still used at least 4-5 times a week give or take lol.

((Now if Secondary Gaming Laptop) was easier to open/upgrade i'd have it maxed out with Ram, and more storage lol--then possibly would split the games between the systems more lol. Less AAA games would be on PC 2, and Games that needed more video ram, ram, and processor power would be on PC 1 lol.

I have this notebook and that's all. My other notebooks are all Local and no login.

From what I could gather, you can have as many devices as you want connected to one account.
But, it seems that they are not able to have different settings. I think Sync has something to do with this
assertion.
You are right in saying that MS store will allow 10 PCs with one purchased app.

A VM is a separate device with its own unique hardware ID. It cannot activate from the host machine's digital licence. If you want to activate it you need to provide it with its own separate key.
