How to clear autofill history?

Hello community!

I have 2FA enabled for all my accounts. Many websites force me to enter the code every 30 days or so as an added security measure.

I see that the browser (in my case Microsoft Edge) shows up a long list of codes (most likely these were entered previously) using autofill service, everytime I try to enter the new code.

How do I clear this autofill history?

The suggestions on the code screen are all codes, which are of one time use only, and for a very short period of time. Since the browser recognizes what information is being sought, it is absurd that these codes are saved by the browser and then offered as suggestions when using Autofill. Can this be filed as a bug report?

Thanks.

Is this what you are after @TheMystic ???

Removing Autofill Options in Microsoft Edge
If you want to remove ALL of your autofill suggestions from Microsoft's Edge browser:

Open "Settings" by clicking on the three dots icon and selecting it from the menu.
Select the "Privacy & Security" tab on the left side of the page.
Scroll down to "Clear Browsing Data" and select "Choose What to Clear."
Select "Autofill data (includes forms and cards)" and click the "Clear" button.
If you don't want to keep your autofill data at all, you can also select the option on the same page to clear this data when you close your browser.

To clear individual autocomplete suggestions in MS Edge, click on "Settings" at the upper right-hand corner of the screen, then "Passwords & autofill". Under the "Autofill" section, select "Manage forms". Click the X button next to any entry you want to delete.

I use the browser to save my login credentials on many sites, so don't want to clear them all.

I don't know what these 136 other suggestions (synced) are. But I'm sure I have much more than 5 addresses that it says is saved. Is there a way to see details of what these items are?

I don't see this option. I'm using Version 99.0.1150.21 (Official build) beta (64-bit).

I don't think so. I'm using the most recent Dev build of Edge and don't see it. It would be a nice suggestion to make. Heck, MS might even listen!

@TheMystic It's funny you should mention this as I have just asked this very question on the Windows 10 Forums. In my case I don't use it for my passwords but for my email, and I also get a list of numbers auto-suggested.

The browser itself allows you to clear autofill entries, but it is either all or none. It doesn't let you choose what to keep and what to delete. CCleaner too does the same.

Autofill can not be cleaned with sync enabled and without sync autofill makes no sense. I asked in MS forums and they told me to write a feedback via Edge to separate autofill and suggestions. There is always something that MS manages to mess up, ALWAYS. :eyeroll:

This will due to the how the form was implemented by the developer. Unfortunately, even if you do inform the browser to not use autocomplete, it is usually ignored, especially Chromium-based browsers such as Edge, Chrome and Brave.

One suggestion which may be rather tedious to implement each time, however, you could open up the browser developer tools and then enter the following into the console:

Rich (BB code):
document.querySelector("form").autocomplete = 'off';

Remember to execute the JS before entering anything into the form.

The autofill data is different from cookies as they are not specific to any site. There is the option to delete all autofill data, but no option to pick and choose what to delete.

I see. I was thinking more of the locally stored data and local data rather than cookies but okay.
