I'm hoping someone can assist. I have a Dell XPS 15 9510 with Realtek Audio + Waves MAXXAUDIO PRO. In inadvertently updated the audio driver from Snappy Driver Installer and generic Realtek Audio Drivers obviously don't work with MAXXAUDIO PRO. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Dell Drivers, as well as a system restore. While the audio works, there was a start menu icon for the Waves app from Microsoft Store....it is not missing even though Microsoft Store shows the app as installed. It doesn't show up in "Apps" in Windows 11 for me to "uninstall" and try again. My experience is that even if I go into the Microsoft Store Apps folder in Program Files and adjust the permissions so I can see them, there won't be a traditional *.exe to make a shortcut. I know the app folder will be there though, even though there isn't a way to traditionally uninstall it. In Microsoft Store, the app shows as installed though but no option to re-download and reinstall. Is there a command prompt or powershell command to force Microsoft Store to repair/reinstall the app to see if I can get it to properly show a shortcut as well as show back up as an installed app in Windows 11? Please let me know if I need to clarify issue better. Thanks.

Well...good news is that after reinstalling the Dell-provided audio driver and a delay (a few restarts) the icon reappeared. However, I'm definitely still curious about my question as I see this scenario playing out in other ways.

Thanks. I'll try that if I need to again.

I can't test it out as I don't have a Dell but after creating an image backup you could try this command in Terminal (admin) PowerShell

Get-AppxPackage *WavesAudio.WavesMaxxAudioProforDell* | Remove-AppxPackage
