How to dual boot Win 10 and 11 ?

Hi

I want to create dual boot for Win 10 and 11. Currently I am on Windows 10 Pro 64bit on nvme. I think I know the steps:

- Create empty partition but should I create that partition on same nvme or create one from other HDD I have ?
- Download Windows 11 using media creation tool and put on USB flash drive then boot from the drive
- Install in the empty partition
- Create boot menu unsing this command (or there is better way ?):

If you install it on a different storage drive, you are not dual booting because Windows will not display boot menu for you to select HDD.

First you only need to put one ssd m2 NVME disk in the motherboard and install WIN 11, put all the drivers from the motherboard on it because you will have to restart the comp several times, then take out that ssd disk on which you have win 11 and put another ssd m2 disk in the other slot NVNE and install windows 10 and on it all the drivers from the motherboard because it will also restart the comp. Shut down the comp put the second disk m2 NVME in the slot that was your first ssd m2 with WIN 11 turn on the computer in the bios you must have both disks indicated if you exit the BIOS and start the computer that got windows you enter the disk manager you need another disk be "D", means C win 11 or win 10, D other windows 11 or 10. install EasyBCD 2.4 in the settings that you want to boot 11 or 10 first, save the settings and restart will offer you other windows in it set in disk mamager same as above and install EasyBCD 2.4 and set everything the same as in the first windows and that's it.
I have 3 windows installed and it works great, I just don't know which motherboard you have because you didn't specify it in My Computer because I had a problem with the ASUS motherboard, I changed it to AsRock and I have no problems

You will make unallocated space on storage drive you want to dual boot and install the Windows 11 on unallocated space.

Yes. Read the tutorial I linked to, William. Go with Option 1 or you won't get the pretty Dual Boot screen when booting your computer.

I have a 500 GB SSD drive in this machine, It has two partitions; one for Windows 10 and one for Windows 11. When you're finished, Microsoft will have installed a couple or three (or four) small (MB) partitions for its own use.

Basically, I created two partitions, then clean installed Windows 10, then Windows 11. When I was finished, I got the pretty dual boot screen. :)

I made a typo mistake, i meant to say different storage drive (SSD, HDD).

When I use to dual boot, I had the OSs on different drives. If the NVME drive has enough space, you can do it either way. I prefer to use EasyBCD to setup my boot menus.

I don't know if there is a way to make boot loader gives you option to select Windows OS installed on different storage drive.

You can dual boot with each Windows installed on the same or separate disks. It doesn't matter. If you are using separate disks, then both disks need to be connected when installing the second OS.

What matters is if you install the second OS at boot (recommended) or from within the already installed Windows.

You just have to point the boot menu to the correct drive. For example, if the drive is listed as drive F when running Windows, you would choose drive F. This is how to get the Metro bootloader, the pretty blue boot menu using EasyBCD.

If I remember correctly, I always disconnected the C: drive when installing the second OS.
