Never mind!!! I got it. I ran cmd.exe from taskmanager. I then ran c:\sfc /scannow. I recovered the explorer.exe file nicely.

On another note. When I replaced the Explorer.exe file from windows 10 all I got was a black screen and I could not run Explorer.exe from taskmanager. I may try it again.

Hehe.. This is a happy failing story. Never read such this one before.
FYI, I don't replace explorer.exe anymore since the build 22000.71, just apply the "undocking" reghack, install StartIsBack++, and other reghack to make network, volume, and clock show on the system tray.

Yep . It didn't work the second time either. I'll try what you mentioned here.

I'm the worlds worst at asking for help and than not need it. I am a Ham radio operator aslo. In the past few years ther has appeared what is
call Software Defined Radio or SDR. You have the needed components in the box to receive the signals. All the processing, filtering and audio
setup is done in a PC. It is a great hobby. Anyway, I have been known to look for days trying to gain an answer to a problem in the software. It seems every single time I finally post a question for help, the answer occurs to me. Then a bunch of folks posts solutions about problem I have just found a solution for. I should have waited a little longer this morning.

I'm running the SDR program in Windows 11 and it's working quite well. It seems Microsoft has removed my favorite features. I realize they may add them back over time. Or, someone might find a workaround. Time will tell.

Heck Yes! The uundocking reghack was absolutely what I was needing. Now I can move the Taskbar where I want it. StartIsBack++ is great as well
I was in the correct thread. I should have started reading from the beginning. Thanks again for the information.

It's a new environment for MS to build on. They remove and add back features slowly until they think it's ready for final release. I believe all the reghack I've use today will not be necessary things later. The updates coming more often and fix any bug one by one. In time, I might still tinkering the registry lines, or maybe not.

Try to do this:
Press WIN + R, type:
shell:::{05d7b0f4-2121-4eff-bf6b-ed3f69b894d9}

That will bring a dialog to activate tray icons.

Or, advanced option, use this:
Add Personalize (classic) context menu in Windows 10

The shell command worked great . I like the seconds on the clock also. Thanks again.

I played with the clock for 1 day or 2 recently, changed the AM/PM to some custom symbols:

When I apply "unlocking" reghack. Taskbar back to like windows 10 very nice but have one issue "Menu right click on explorer" has been hide under explorer. So how i can fix it? Thanks you!

I had the same thing a couple of times..., I don't know why..., restart Explorer or reboot.

Doesn't happens here. But I can't explain anything, because I forgot what are reghacks that applied on my PC. I've tried too many codes and didn't document them, silly me.
