Solved How To Make Windows 11 Taskbar Uncombined and Unlocked


After tested about 200 reghack and tested about 30 applications, finally I can get my old favorite glass effect on Win11.
Spent too much of my coffee and movie times..

I love it right now except for the face I can't do a search in File Explorer. Is there a fix for this? I do understand I can search from the start menu.

Too many hacks and reg tweaks here too..., coupled with O&OShutup running full tilt..., I don't think my PC is even a Windows PC anymore!!! :cool:

I have no idea what's wrong there. I can do search here, in Explorer and in Start Menu (I'm using StartIsBack++ version 2.9.15). And the most important thing to note: since build number 20000.71, I didn't replace Explorer.exe anymore, only applied undocking reghack as suggested by @dacrone

I have build 22000.100, the reghack is just fine.

For the people that didn't apply reghack, these 2 free software could be handy:

X-Mouse Button Control
I use a standard mouse with no additional button, so I set this software to assign middle-click to SHIFT+F10 to open context menu on Desktop and Windows Explorer. Get it here:

Linkbar
Because I use multi monitors, the only thing I don't like from standard extended Taskbar is there's no ability to pin things to the Taskbar on other monitor. So I use this one:
Linkbar

Both can be used for replaced explorer.exe, or the original Win11 explorer.exe. Tested.

I used UXThemePatcher and applied some themes by Niivu from Deviant Art. But I don't use the one with Address Bar Disabler. I believe you can do it by manually edit MSSTYLE file and copy what Niivu did for the address bar. It's openable using Notepad. Tried once before to edit the colors.
