How can one remove the Get Started app in Windows 11?

Settings --> System --> Notifications

Scroll all the way to the bottom, underneath the list of apps that are allowed to have notifications, and find this section:

I believe it is the first one that you want, but I suspect that you'll want both disabled as I have them

Thanks, but I meant removing the Get Started app. It shows up in the Start Menu.

That, and certain other ones, would require scripting, such as noted by GitHub - Sophia-Community/SophiApp: The most powerful open source tweaker on GitHub for fine-tuning Windows 10 & Windows 11 - and this is by far not the only one.

But it does require scripting to actually remove it from your system. For other alternatives, I suggest taking a look in our Personalization section, as I'm pretty sure at least 3 other methods for removing 'unremovable' apps have been discussed / used by many different members, and they can probably help better with that.

When I run SophiApp, it states: "Some Windows components may have been broken. Please reinstal the OS.". I guess it's because I used an image created by NTLite.

Regarding your other suggestion, it looks like there's no script that can remove this app and it doesn't even show up in Command Prompt/PowerShell as an installed app.

If it's not possible to remove t, maybe it's possible to hide it from the Start Menu.

Yeah, I've never actually tried to remove it, I simply turn off every possible suggestion that Windows 11 tries to give me. But, I also stick with vanilla installs now, as toying around with removing stuff during the Beta days led to some unexpected issues for me, so I dropped the idea.

I wonder if the scripts would work on an untouched .ISO from Microsoft or UUPDUMP, and if so, then maybe it's something the NTLite devs can incorporate in future builds.

It doesn't show up in CCleaner (at least in my case) but I use CCleaner to remove Cortana after installing Windows because if I remove it using NTLite, it breaks Settings app's search, but not if I do it this way.

It's not removable as it's part of Windows Feature Experience Pack. As for that the info on that is murky at best from what I could find

It is a part of Windows Shell components and cannot be installed separately. It is already installed but is not listed in components because contains some features critical to Windows functionality. So Microsoft does not allow to remove it.

Are you talking about Cortana? Well, NTLite can remove it, like I said.

I did so want to give the ultimate answer to the OP's question.
And I found this:

It seems like that should have done the trick....but, on my particular install of Windows 11/Pro/64, it didn't work!!! What the heck?
Oh, it did give me the "Are you sure" question, to which I hit the YES button. But, it was NOT uninstalled. MS Strikes again!
Maybe it will work on someone else's PC.

There has to be a point where all of this can be done on a single install, but since the scripts work on an actually installed OS, that may require a whole lot of testing to see at what point backing off on some of your NTLite options finally allows the scripts to actually work on the modified system. If you do decide to go after this, I definitely suggest using a VM until you get it just right.

Just for info I remove Cortana with Geek Uninstaller (Get Started obviously not listed) and it doesn't break search in settings.
