How to stop bluetooth speakers from disconnecting when idling?

Regardless of the speakers I use (be it battery or wall-powered), win11 automatically disconnects (not unpair) the Bluetooth in less than a minute if I'm not playing any audio, hence my workaround currently is to play something in the background while keeping it on mute to prevent drop-offs.

How do I keep it permanently connected?

Don't use BT sound but I see it now and then with BT mice, on different Notebooks but the only lag is when moving the mouse after having been idle for a few minutes. I'm not OCD enough to let it bother me but breaking sound certainly is an issue. Have you tried a BT mouse for any adversity?

Check device manager for Bluetooth power settings and HID power settings. Have to untick these after every CU or major update.

I have three Bluetooth services running set to Manual(trigger start). Just wondering if it would help to change them to automatic? A shot in the dark here.

Sound Keeper plays an inaudible sound at all times. Would do the same as playing muted music.

This often happens if speakers are also paired to other nearby devices e.g. a mobile phone. My mobile phone seems to be quite aggressive at trying to connect. Try switching off bluetooth on all nearby devices. Shot in the dark as well probably but worth a try.

All mobile bluetooth are off when I'm at home, hence there are no other devices trying to connect..

Same here.
I´m using an Intel AC 7260 card, and JBL Free X earphones.
I couldn´t find any option to allow/disallow the computer to turn off the Bluetooth device to save power (the Intel Wireless Bluetooth properties window doesn´t have the Power Management tab).
Does your computer have anything in common (AC 7260 card or JBL earphone)?
