The message "You must log in to this network before you can access the internet" in Firefox means Firefox has detected a captive portal (a login screen required by public Wi-Fi at hotels, airports, or coffee shops) or is misidentifying your home network. [1, 2, 3]
How to Fix It
Log into the network: Click the prompt or open a new tab and try loading a standard webpage to trigger the login page. [1, 2]
Visit a non-HTTPS site: If the login page does not pop up automatically, visit a plain HTTP site like http://neverssl.com/ to force the router to redirect you. [1]
Disable Captive Portal Detection (if on a private home network):
Type about:config into the Firefox address bar and press Enter.
Click Accept the Risk and Continue.
Search for network.captive-portal-service.enabled.
Click the Toggle button at the right side to change its value from true to false.
