Hi folks
I create a Windows VM in HYPER-V ready for converting to run on a Real machine - but I hosed up the "firmware" via not electing secure boot in the VM "Firmware".

Can I simply keep the Windows VM, create a blank VM with sec boot and re-import the VM again ready for exporting to a physical machine -- or use VIboot for example. The VM is as most of my Windows stuff real or VM's these days are on vhdx files. Just changing the boot method to sec boot didn't work and before I mess around with copying and cloning was wondering if anybody has experience with this and does it work. I don't want a std Windows partition - I want the installs to remain on vhdx files.

Thanks in advance

Cheers

Why bother? Secure boot is at the system BIOS level, not at the machine level. Secure Boot changes nothing on the SSD, HDD or VHDX whether it is a VM or physical computer.

OK agreed but my point was I've got a VM how to I re-use it without having to re-install the whole kybosh over again.

Actually sec boot and TPM are security concerns that belong to C20. C21 has infinitely better ways of guaranteeing computer security.
