Solved I can not remove my old Administrator account (Solved)

I started by creating an administrator account for my wife to take over management of her newly installed computer, just about the final step of my setting up the Dell XPS 8650 desktop for her. I then looked up several sites that tell you how to remove an existing administrator account, none of which work for me.

The only folder under Settings/Accounts that shows my Administrator account is Family, but I can not nothing with that, such as removing it. Under Other Users my wife's new Administrator account is shown.

I even logged on to my Microsoft account, for the first time in a very long time, and did not see anything there about my quest to make PJ the new owner of the computer. I also used this forum's search engine to no avail.

I should create a macro to save me from having to type in the extremely obvious statement that any and all assistance will be gratefully appreciated.

1. Password never expires is marked. I can guess what it is, but simply disabling it would be simpler.

2. Account is disabled is NOT marked. Taking a wild guess, the sort of thing I did so very well as fire chief, were I to mark it I would be able to delete it.

As I stood up to leave the computer room, I noticed a printout in the printer. I took a quick look at it and chuckled when I realized that I had opened and run Computer Management on my computer, so I did that on the XPS 8950, where I found that the account there is disabled. No change for the password.

If it's the hidden admin account it can be disabled from command prompt. Open command prompt as administrator.
net user Administrator /active:no

I ran that, which did not seem to change anything. From doing that, my recollection of precisely took place is vague, and my feeble excuse is that there was a real scare when I went back to the computer to find a black monitor,and I could not do anything. I was very close to turning the computer off and back on, when the monitor suddenly woke up, with two links in the lower left-hand corner. I chose the upper of the links as it seemed to possibly accomplish what I had been trying to do.

The next thing that I do remember is that Windows was going through a new set-up cycle. When that ended and I regained at least a somewhat calmer attitude, I began to restore what needed attention. and after a while I decided to check to see if what I suspected as indicated by the process of setting up Windows was that my wife is now the administrator.

I am sure that i will find at least a few more adjustments need to be taken care, but the change of administrator is in and of itself a major relief. That this must have been engendered by your last code submission is greatly appreciated.
