Solved I cannot capture a speed test image and put it in the Pictures folder (Solved)

Why, I have NO idea. I have done it before, although not in a long while. I have read, and read, and reread the various instructions on line, none of which do not do what they say they will do, at least not for me. Would some of you nice folks kindly provide me with the correct method of accomplishing the task,

I did manage to create and save an image of a speed test on my wife's computer, and following the instructions, put it into the Pictures folder on my computer. Why that image was relatively easy to create and save and then send, etc.; why there and not here, is to me unknown.

Why do I need to do this: It is one of several things I need to submit so that Netgear can figure out why my router is not working properly, an artifact that I have finally intuited may be responsible for many of the computing problems I have been encountering.

Ctrl + prtsc does nothing/ Using the Fn key and the Print Screen works, but not for this.

I actually figured out why my attempts failed: Having selected the desire image and then using Alt + Ctrl + S, there are no further instructions, just the image with eight white dots around the perimeter and a box to either copy or download. That is not what I saw when saving on my wife's computer, which as I recall asked what format I wanted, and proceeded from there.

I then remembered what happens when I put the cursor in the image and select Save As,, which opens Pictures and offers to save the image as an HTML document

Snip and Sketch works pretty well...

Try Windows key + Shift + S

If it's a laptop with a fn key then fn + ctrl + prtsc

The problem has been solved! Last night, for no known reason as I was not even musing about the problem of this thread, I recalled using an entry in Snagit which I believe I had only used once, and that for an recalled reason. I have used Snagit for many years, all except this one time to copy data automatically in to the Snagit Editor. Sometimes I edited the material, gave it a name, and saved it in the Pictures folder, the Snagit default, sometimes I just left it there for reference about something else I was working on.

What I did this time was to open Snagit from the Home Page rather than from the link in my hidden icons, selecting Editor, this time opting for Image. I ran the speed test, then clicked on Image, which brought up the same sort of image as using Editor. I moved the lines of the Image to copy the Speed Test, saved it automatically to the Editor. I gave the file a name and saved it. I now have TWO images of speed tests, one from my wife's computer, one from my computer.
