Here's the story. I was using my system as usual and finished what I was doing and walked away for a few hours. Coming back I was on my desktop with horrible artifacting. I was able to get around a bit and found that MS updated me automatically. Then my system restarted and would no longer go into Windows. It just sat on recovery and I could not do anything. Lucky for me I did a system back 2 days prior. So I restore that image and am back in Windows BUT!! On bootup I get this screen. I have no other volumes. What is going on??

The Boot tab in the Microsoft System Configuration (msconfig) utility controls how your computer starts up and manages advanced troubleshooting parameters.

If there are multiple boot partitions on the computer, they are each listed here.

The System Configuration tool also offers a graphical way of choosing which of the operating systems installed on your PC loads first. In the System Configuration tool, switch to the Boot tab, and you can view all the operating systems installed on your computer and select the default one if you have a multi-boot setup. To select a new default operating system, click or tap on it and then on “Set as default.”

You can delete duplicated bootable Windows entries. Delete the Windows 11 that you don't boot from and is listed at Choose operating system screen.

Just a mention, while using the boot tab will control what partition Windows will boot from, it does not alter the fact that Windows is seeing multiple boot partitions. I am assuming that you are not dual booting. Correct? That be true you will have to manually deal with the extra boot partition. I have a feeling that it is related to when you recovered your image. Please post a screenshot of disk management. Make sure the columns are extended so we can see everything.

What???? I'm either going crazy or you switched screenshots on me as I was writing my answer. I'm positive the original screenshot was different. You had not expanded the columns so I could see it all but it appeared to me that Windows was seeing your boot partition correctly on Disk 1.
But From what I could see (which is now gone) on disk 0 partition marked "storage" it also said that was flagged as a boot partition? I saw where at some time or the other, on disk 0 you had an EFI 100 mb partition that was marked unallocated. Did you delete that unallocated partition and take another screenshot???

PS: Lance please tell me I am not nuts and that you switched screenshots.
