I am using the latest updates of Windows 11 and Office 365.

I wish to produce a form which can filled in on-line or printed out for filling in on a hard copy.
I used *
*
which proved a good tutorial, though the bit that I was able to follow, though teaching me several actions I ddn't know, covered mainly what I already knew what to do. When it got to the point where she started describing the way to control and protect the various fields it was less helpful, mainly because her Word version was older than mine.

The form was created in Word using a table and then editing the table to produce various boxes - Title of fields and adjacent data entry fields.
Using Developer I was able to click on the data fields and set them up for text, dates, numbers, etc. However I then get partially stuck. How do I set the document up so that I can enter text, dates, numbers in the data fields but not change the title fields?

I have no answer to your questions, but I would think creating a fillable form would be better suited to Excel. But I guess that depend on purpose and audience of such a form. Anyway....

That's where finding an updated video with something closer to your version helps. The video above covers Office 365. She also notes she has a video using Word to create fillable forms so perhaps you should search that.

Good luck.
