I uninstalled MSEdgeRedirect but it is still listed in the System Tray setting twice. It is not in my System Tray in the Taskbar. It is not installed and is not listed in the Start Menu. How do I remove it from displaying in the System Tray settings without reformatting my machine?

You could try this, enable it, reboot, disable, reboot and see whether it helps.

I found a resolve using regedit and deleting 2 values. Now I see what I actually have installed and need to see. Not sure if I really need MSEdgeDirect as I do have Google configured in Edge for search results using Chromtana Pro if I accidently search using the Search from the Start Menu.

I found more problems using MSEdgeDirect than not, I use Chrome and Firefox most of the time so don't really need it.

Unfortunately MS Edge re-installs itself with damn near any sizeable update for Win 11. I noticed it just today...yet again. Despite having it removed via the registry and using O&O Shut-up, etc. it just can't live without your system :(

My solution? Linux...since 1996 LOL

Ya if I use the Facebook app in my Start Menu and click a link to a webpage through Facebook it opens in Edge as app is through the MS Store. I may just open Facebook in Chrome and save shortcut to desktop instead then customise the icon.
