I use DISM quite often but can't always remember the syntax


That Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 Processor 275HX 2.7 GHz gives it a pretty good kick...;-)

I just let Windows handle it.

Why do something manually already done by the system automatically.

Mine may be smaller as, after very large updates, I reset the component store.

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase

My Component Store is 'Normal' in size as it's early in the month and we all just updated to 26H2. My cleanup is on a 30 schedule which should auto run again on 10/29/2026. Having current data and data from the previous release allows for a rollback to the previous release.
