    The five 8TB drives and three 512GB SSDs are part of a DrivePool using StableBit DrivePool software. The three SSDs are devoted purely to caching for the 8TB drives. All of the important data is stored in triplicate so that I can withstand simultaneous failure of 2 disks.

I am not getting, I am. LOL. I remember my first wireless and laptop. The "wifi" was custom, product I don't think anybody else made any kind of wifi equipment at that time - there were no standards. I was, and am, proud of being one of the first people to be able to do work sitting on the toilet on mu bare ass, on my big ass box of a laptop - an IBM with crappy small TFT display.

Also did punch cards for analyzing physics data on mainframes. Wrote my thesis on a Macintosh ( very tiny those) with many Bombs (equivalent of blue or green screen).

Vista was amazing in comparison.

You can tell that decrepitude (to quote Roy Batty in Blade Runner) has absolutely started to set in for me, when I tell you that I actually rather liked Vista - sure it was slow, but I liked the way it looked (3D windows and shadows etc.).
