Will forcing my nvidia gpu to work on windows 11 have a positive effect on windows performance? ( image quality and fluency etc. )

The question I'm asking is actually universal, I wonder if the external gpu on my laptop contributes to the windows interface. Let me add it anyway my gpu nvidia 940mx gddr5 4gb

Well yeah... you should always run the discreet video card, as opposed to the integrated GPU in the processor.
In this case... run the Nvidia GPU rather than the Intel GPU.
Or run both if possible.

Windows 11 should be able to pick the best GPU by itself. You shouldn't have to "force" either one.
Maybe a laptop person can be more specific.

The i5 7200u has an Intel® HD Graphics 620 graphics part.

Both the 940MX and the Intel 620 are about the same... strength.
I doubt it matters. Are you having a specific issue with Windows 11?

As I mentioned above... if there is a way to use BOTH or to let Windows 11 choose for itself, that would probably be the best option.

I am not a gamer, came to Win11 Pro from Win10 Pro via a new Notebook in Oct. and after saving up a new Desktop in April. Since none of my Notebooks and Desktops are new enough for Win11 I needed updated equipment so as to support what my clients will see when they update. My hopes were that there would be no hidden disaster awaiting me, so far all has been good, even to running a 2006 game in for WinXP both versions. Most of what I noted is display of things, some moved around such as more parts of Control Panel are now on the right-click of the Win11 Start button and some removed from the right-click of the Taskbar, the Peek on Win10 changed just to minimize and restore.
