Post #3 and #4 tells you it can cause problems with Windows. I would have thought that would have been enough for you to know that one of the drives should be disconnected. Then post #6 tells you that one of the drives should be removed. It may not be what you wanted to hear but disconnecting one of the drives is the solution.
Check your bios to find out.

Absolutely do not have to do that by physical disconnection.
Oh, I go through some of the older posts from time-to-time when the forum points them my way. If the last comment is still within the month I will sometimes respond to it. I just thought that if the OP really, really had to keep the clone in their system while running the original because they couldn't disconnect it (for whatever reason) perhaps a switch box was the answer. I have one in my X99 build and I'll certainly be putting one in my ATCS 840. Saves the hassle of plugging and unplugging.@Scannerman, How did you come across that old post? Not sure. If it is it would be many years old. The original is still working fine. The only thing about it that annoyed me were the uber bright LEDs which I managed to deal with by carefully painting them over with black nail polish and using a toothpick to make a tiny opening in the top of the polish. Now they look like nifty little high tech LEDs.
