Solved Installing latest DEV update 26220.7535 - Solved

Hi folks
Seems the only way to get this on some systems is to go back a release BEFORE 26220.7523 - then install that update (again) and then you are offered 26220.7535.



Why you have to this on some systems (the Magic of Windows !!) but not on others - I've no idea. I've long since given up about the Why's of Windows. I just do whatever seems to work and let others bother with the "Why's".

Now I'll install the "out of Band update" which will probably break the whole thing !!!!!

Finally got there :




One minor glitch --easily changed though -- although I installed in basic UK Eng - regional option seemed to have changed to ( Eng (UAE) !!! -- switched back to std UK eng of course -- what Iceland has to do with the UAE I've no idea !!!!.

I can mess around with extra languages etc later - but so far system seems OK including that rarity for Windows --Networking !!! although you need to enter initially the network name of other computers and save -- the bog std file explorer doesn't map automatically Networked computers -- not a real issue as you can still add in the network thing from file explorer anetworked computer names e.g \\mymachine.
