Windows 10
Hi guys.
I just want to see how this W11 looks and just want to check how ti works and learn it.
Is it possible that installation will work without issues on FX 8120 CPU with Asrock 990FX Extreme 3 board and 8 gigs of RAM?
I downloaded this version:
Windows 11 Pro/Enterprise Build 22000.708 (No TPM Required).
I could also want to try on this laptop with Core i7-3517U but it has only 4 gigs of RAM.
Any issues to be expected while installing?

Given your computer is running Win 10. and Win 11 ISO ready (21H2 downloaded from Microsoft web).
Try
this script from Github (it's open source code), unzip and run.
Release Initial release (1.0.0) · coofcookie/Windows11Upgrade

It's a method discussed on HP forum (search its "Install Win 11 on any computer". but no direct link. my link directed to Github).

In this way, you won't run into any issues on BIOS (CSM UFEI), TPM, MS account, , ,
It offers three options: upgrade-install, , , or clean-install. Just do as you please.
If you prefer a local/offline account than MS account, it's better first make it on Win 10 then run the Win 11 upgrade script.

Please post back your result.

I am HP user. have upgraded 6-7 computers to Win 11 21H2. no any issues.

But I already downloaded no TPM version and used rufus to create bootable pen drive.
Why can't I just instal it from pen drive regular way?
Don't want an upgrade, just clean install, since I don't need W10 anymore.

I was using ISO directly. It's easier for me. :D

As you have win 10 on the FX 8120 CPU with Asrock 990FX you have a "digital license" for win 10 and win 11 so if you install Win 11 (same version Home or pro) it will activate.
Win 11 Enterprise won't activate or if it does it's a pirate copy with a crack.
I suggest you create a Disk image backup of the current Win 10 installation and do a upgrade to win 11. That is what I did.
Download a Win 11 iso mount it on win 10 and run setup.
To bypass the hardware restrictions follow this guide Windows 11 TPM Requirement? Bypass it in 5 Minutes
You will end with your win 10 upgrade to win 11 and activated.
If you don't like Win 11, simply restore the disk image backup of the Win 10 installation

You'll need to use one of the known workarounds to get it past the install checks, but if I can get Windows 11 to work on this, then it will work on anything.

When W11 was first leaked I tested installing it on the least appropriate hardware I could find, my little Acer Aspire One D270 netbook, see post #37.

Today I revisited that using the current latest RTM build 22000.527. Still works fine, albeit a little sluggish - no 64-bit OS should be asked to run in just 2GB of RAM :ROFLMAO:
Let's install Windows 11 on a incompatible hardware - post #717

I thought to install it on my old laptop which is i7 3517U, 128GB storage (sounds not enough) and 4 Gigs of RAM.
Would it work much slower then current W10?
Would it freeze,feel unresponsive etc.
I know W10 does specially Chrome when I like open many tabs..
I suppose this is like bare minimum requirements.
Yes I do have desktop with FX 8120 but I'm lazy to install it there.

The minimum storage requirement for Windows 11 is 64GB. The actual size of the OS system files is typically 16-24GB, so 32GB would be enough. But twice that is required to enable feature updates to take place. You 128GB is more than enough for Windows 11 itself, as long as you don't have too many user files or other software to install.

I avoid Chrome for just that reason.

In my experience, both on supported devices and a couple that are well below W11 minimum requirements, Window 11 is no more demanding than Windows 10 and should have much the same performance.

For example, System Two in my computer specs below has 4GB RAM and a 1st gen i5. W11 runs as well on it as W10 did.

Ok then I will try on that laptop and see how well it behaves...will leave my comment somewhere here on forum...

I created MBR bootable image cuz my filesystem is MBR...
The version I downloaded is TPM bypassed.

Let MCT create the USB boot able drive. It will be Legacy and UEFI boot able.

EDIT: The key is the answer file below assumes Windows Pro. Change the key for different editions of Windows.

There are a lot of ways to bypass the Windows 11 requirements. Sounds like you are planning to do a clean install from a pen drive so here is a super EASY way to bypass the Windows 11 requirements.

Take the text of the code below and save it to a text file. Name that file autounattend.xml. Save the file to the root of your pen drive.

That's literally all it takes.

How it works:

The autounattend.xml is an answer file that can be used to install Windows 100% automatically with no user interaction whatsoever. Windows setup looks for a file by this name when it starts. In this particular case, the answer file is greatly abbreviated and performs NO AUTOMATIC installation, it simply employs the Windows 11 requirements bypass. Other than that, the installation will be completely manual, requiring the user to step through the installation wizard just as would happen without the answer file.

Just to be a little bit more specific, here are the Windows 11 system checks that this bypasses:

Check for a TPM
Check for SecureBoot support
Supported CPU
RAM requirements
Storage space requirements

If you have any questions at all regarding this, do let me know.

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<!--
This answer file does not perform any automated installation. The only purpose for this
answer file is to bypass the Windows 11 installation requirements. Please note that in
order for the answer file to work, it still needs to include the UserData block with
a product key. In this sample file we are using a Windows 10 / 11 Pro key. You can
change this if you like.

Installation went well.
I don't like W11 at all.
Reminds me on some newer version of Android :/

You can tweak Win 11 to look and work like Win 10 or even Win 7.Win11.png

Luiz,

Which utility is shown in your diagram?

By the way, if you don't like that partial folder icon showing up on your Taskbar you can remove it by adjusting the space taken up by your Taskbar Toolbar.

See para 3, steps 5-7 in my post Taskbar Toolbars - Creating and naming, customising, moving [post #20] - TenForumsTutorials

All the best,
Denis
It isn't an APP or utility. It is a custom toolbar where the address is the C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs. (I move all links from C:\Users\Luiz\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs and make some changes on the folders names)
I had a look at your tutorial. That's it.

Oh, sorry. I thought it was growing out of the Start button and so was additional to your Taskbar Toolbar.
