This only shows how serious the RAM shortage is (caused by AI companies buying it all) to make Intel create an older CPU to go with preexisting RAM. I don't remember if such a thing already happened in the past, but it looks serious enough.

They are continuing producing 14xx series too. I don't remember if is the whole lineup. They have got to have some k series on hand due to the extended warranty on them. :look:

Producing the previous models, fine, continuing selling what they've got in stock, sure.
But designing a new model for an older series, given they've already made several releases on the LGA 1851 Ultra 5/7/9 models is what I've found impresive.

Yes, that is impressive. I expect they will stop the 14th Gen production by then. Maybe if I kill my 14900k I can get it replaced by one of those :-)
