Intrusive OneDrive installation, hijacking of folder paths.

Fed up with stupid Microsoft's aggressive, intrusive practices and this is a well known issue specifically with OneDrive being reinstalled without consent, hijacking folder paths in Outlook (local) and file explorer, with no way to reverse it.

I've reinstalled windows 11 clean, opened onedrive, clicked "unlink this device" option, uninstalled onedrive, rebooted. Same issue.

Even this error when I try to reset folder path for Documents folder to default:


What to do? I hate microsoft, stupid moronic peope that do not respect privacy at all.

What version of Win 11 are you running? Current latest stable = 22H2, Build 22621.2283. Stable builds have bugs and anything later than this may have more bugs? Maybe? Just wondering.

You did not follow the correct procedure. Since you have broken the chain by uninstalling Onedrive before everything was successfully moved, I doubt it will work correctly now.

Another option is to create a new LOCAL user account and delete the MS account. If you go that route be sure and give the new account administrative priviledges.
