I know that in the past I have seen a Chrome installation screwed up by installing Edge, which was corrected by reinstalling Chrome.
I understand that they both are built on Chromium, so it isn't that surprising.
I recently had a call from a client who was having a problem with Chrome on Win10. Particular pages would load briefly, then "Ah Snap" error. After trying a reset, I opened Edge and found that everything worked fine. Not having time to screw with it, I told him to just use Edge until I could to figure it out.
Two days later I got a call from my step-mother. Her Gmail wasn't working, she couldn't receive anything. It was Chrome on Win11 this time. So I opened Edge and Gmail worked perfectly.
I'm not conspiracy minded, but I'm old enough to remember Netscape.
