Is there a way to completely remove/disable Copilot in Edge?

Is there a way to completely remove/disable the Pilot in Edge? It always stays in the background, even if I exit Edge?

You can’t actually "remove" co-pilot from Egde since it's built in, but you can hide it.

Open Microsoft Edge and click on the three-dot menu button at the right side of the toolbar.
Select Settings from the menu.
In the left pane, click on Sidebar. You can alternatively just go to edge://settings/sidebar in address bar.
Under App specific settings, click on Copilot.
This screen lists four options: Show Copilot, Automatically open Copilot in the sidebar, Allow Microsoft to access page content, and Show shopping notifications. Toggle all these to OFF.

Even easier is to open Copilot, select settings at the bottom and it takes you directly to the App and notification settings where you can adjust app specific settings.
