Is there a way to use PURCHASED Office 2024 w/o a MS account?

It is complicated because it totally unnecessary to switch your Local Account to a Microsoft Account and then back to a Local Account. All you have to do is stick with your Local Account and buy Microsoft Office.

Interesting... I just was browsing wikipedia history of Passport - predecessor to Account. Privacy concerns existed way back then! And I read that Authentication required Account since Windows 8. One more thing I love about Windows 7 that I didn't even realize these past 17 years!!! (and before on even older O/S)

You bet! little by little I am going thru installed apps to identify those that are signed in and am signing out of them. Surprising how many there are! So far. they have all been 100% usable without signing in. Except this one. Oh well...
