Windows 11 Pro Build 22631
I've been using Rufus + schneegans autounattend.xml since Windows 10 and it always works perfectly
and the last Windows 11 version that worked for me was Windows 11 Pro International 23H2
but I am now trying to use the Rufus + schneegans for Windows 11 Pro International 25H2 and
it no longer works.

When Windows installer opens, it go straight to the set launguage screen and ignores schneegans
autounattend.xml.

With the ISO that I have from Microsoft the bypass the OBS still works if you use Rufus to make
a USB boot USB si I do not think that is the issue.

Could Microsoft have changed this particular version so it can no longer be used with 3rd party
apps and scripts?

I've looked at Ventoy but that just seems to be .iso loader rather than a boot builder like Rufus.

This is my fifth day of trying to get this to work and it is seriously impacting my my work life.

Really appreciate any help.

This service lets you create answer files (typically named unattend.xml or autounattend.xml) to perform unattended installations of both Windows 10 and Windows 11, including 24H2 and 25H2. Answer files generated by this service are primarily intended to be used with Windows Setup run from Windows PE to perform clean (rather than upgrade) installations.

Hi and thanks for your response.

Yes I know and that is what I am trying to do, I have been using both services for Windows 10 and 11 for years
but as I said in my OP, for me at least, it seems to be no longer working on Windows 11 Pro International 25H2.

This is BY FAR the EASIEST and most fool-proof method for updating to 25H2.
All of jensd_be 's methods work perfectly. They are easy to follow, simple, don't require RUFUS, and are a piece of cake with zero problems.

TRY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT (y) ;-)

Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2 use a new version (interface) of Setup by default. After answering a couple of questions you are given the choice to quit the new Setup and use the old Setup instead. The known workarounds to bypass compatibility check work with the old Setup version. Rufus patches the USB as appropriate but the old unattended script generators that target old Setup version fail. One workaround is to create a hybrid 23H2/25H2 USB flash drive which uses the old Setup version (23H2) to install 25H2 version. First create a standard Windows 11 23H2 USB flash drive loading the 23H2 ISO in Rufus. There is the option to download it from Rufus, if you don't have it. Then mount the 25H2 ISO (Open with File Explorer) and copy the file sources\install.wim from the ISO into the sources folder in the USB replacing the original file. That's it. Now you can copy your unattended script and try installing Windows 11 25H2.

You can't combine Rufus (for setting Windows options), while using your own autounattend.xml file. Whether it was created by a website or by you.

The reason is Rufus creates its own hidden unattended file, and typically this will conflict with other unattended files. All the Windows options that Rufus offers, can be duplicated in a Schneegan's file. So you can use Rufus and Schneegan's together only if you don't use Rufus to make any settings changes.
