Microsoft is releasing updates to the Beta Channel that put Windows Insiders into one of two groups:
  • A group of Insiders in the Beta Channel will receive Build 22622.xxx updates starting with KB5014959 that will have new features getting rolled out or turned on via an enablement package (KB5015669).
  • A group of Insiders in the Beta Channel will receive Build 22621.xxx updates that will have new features turned off by default.

The minimum requirement to install the KB5015669 Enablement Package is you must have Windows 11 build 22621.290 or later installed.

This KB may cause high CPU issues when running Firefox and doing a Ctrl-x on values entered in a userid or password box. When this happens FF will freeze. The freeze is proportional to the number of active tabs open.

The issue has been reported to the Feedback Hub and to Mozilla Bugs.

Beta Channel Build 22622.730 Not Found For All users​

Issues with this update -

Hello Windows Insiders,

Many of you are aware of this issue as you've possibly hit this on one of your own devices. Creating this thread to clarify the issue and provide updates as we work to root cause and bypass. Here are the details:

What: Some users in the Beta Channel are not being offered the 22632.730 build for download to their device running WIP preview builds.
Who: Users configured to the Beta Channel and have build 22622.601 currently installed
When: This issue began on Thursday, 9/29 when we released the 22623.730/22621.730 builds externally to the Beta Channel
Why: The root cause is not yet known.

Next steps: Thanks to your feedback submissions we have a variety of update logs to review, each of which have been extremely helpful in focusing our investigation into this issue. We've also captured more verbose trace logs on an internal device that has provided valuable insights and is guiding our efforts.

We know this is frustrating for affected users, we have internal employees hitting it too! Data has helped us eliminate some potential culprits and allowed us to focus more deeply on others. While we don't have specific details to share currently, please know we're actively investigating and the size of the crew working to help resolve this issue is significant. We all want you to get the build too!

Thank you in advance for your feedback and patience as we continue working this issue. If we need additional data or logs, we'll definitely reach out. Stay tuned to this thread for updates as we have them!
