We also provide personalized suggestions based on your Microsoft 365 account.

Windows 11 servicing stack update - 22621.378​

This update makes quality improvements to the servicing stack, which is the component that installs Windows updates. Servicing stack updates (SSU) ensure that you have a robust and reliable servicing stack so that your devices can receive and install Microsoft updates.

Install this update

If you want to remove the LCU

To remove the LCU after installing the combined SSU and LCU package, use the DISM/Remove-Package command line option with the LCU package name as the argument. You can find the package name by using this command: DISM /online /get-packages.

Running Windows Update Standalone Installer (wusa.exe) with the /uninstall switch on the combined package will not work because the combined package contains the SSU. You cannot remove the SSU from the system after installation.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro (and all my Hyper-V VMs).

FWIW - There is DWORD (32-bit) Value and QWORD (64-bit) Value. So, when you need to make a DWORD, you need to use DWORD, not QWORD.

You should simply follow the instructions given to you in a document. If the instructions say to use DWORD then you use DWORD, if the instructions say to use QWORD then you use QWORD. So you shouldn’t confuse them with the type of Windows 10 operating system (32-bit or 64-bit). Most of the entries you will see in Windows 10 registry are DWORD (32-bit) and most of the Windows 10 operating systems in use these days are Windows 64-bit.

I have installed this update and i dont see "Task Manager" when i right click on the taskbar. Only the old "Taskbar Settings". Am i missing something?

Many of us have had to use the following instructions to get it to work. (click the little arrow in the circle at the top of the quotation below to take you to the full post *with pictures*)

Some still cannot get it working, even after doing this, though. So it might be in your best interest to wait, unless you're comfortable changing the registry entries as noted.

No, I don't have it either. Lots of others, too. Seems some do, some don't. Maybe it's another one of the stupid MS A/B testing features. You never know, it could cause massive BSODs on unsuspecting users. 😉

Enable/Disable Task Manager Right click Option on the Taskbar

Yeah that one should have been made automatically, but if it wasn't there, that might be a cause as to why it is not showing for you but is showing for me. Only other thing I can think of:

If you did Shut Down instead of Restart, and have Fast Startup enabled, then it may not have taken, because of Fast Startup. But otherwise, I guess you and F14tomcat and others just gotta wait until next month. Or for Microsoft to flip the switch on their end, or something.
