Insider KB5036908 Windows 11 Insider Dev build 26100.268 (24H2) - April 26

Don't think this one should count as a break in the 23-day streak.

Make clean install of it.

This is the first time a Dev CU has included actual updates and not just said "This update does not include anything new and is designed to test our servicing pipeline".

This suggests that 26100 has been chosen as the base build for the release version. If so, then expect it to be developed from now on only through CUs. Sooner or later I'd expect the Beta channel to get a 24H2 26100 build, if so that would confirm that 26100 is on track to become the release build in October.

I like this build. Running on the main machine.

I would not do an upgrade on a laptop, though. Just did one with 23H2 and had a bunch of errors. Missing power management in Control panel, dead reg keys because of removed tasks. Also AMD laptops are a pain to upgrade adrenaline software is a pain. Multiple errors in the event viewer. However, it seems to run OK.

Too bad the team didn't actually explain to people this month that for weeks now it's been a VERY easy window of opportunity to get off Dev and go back to production without a reformat....

Had no power the whole day, SDGE finally fixed the problem on the power line at 12:30 AM on 4/27/2024.
Now I can finally download.

Got this Intel Graphics driver installed by Windows Update on two machines with Build 26100.268 and 26200.5001

Driver version 32.0.101.5439, I assume that is WDDM 3.2.
Cannot find that driver on any Intel support site. The latest I find from Intel is 31.0.101.5445.
Any idea how to get 32.0.101.5439, other than W.U.?

By installing the Dev build only it seems.

I'm having a problem with this 24h2 26100 that when installing the program it takes about 2 minutes to start installing, anyone with the same problem? I installed Windows on a partition refs Could it have influenced it?

After the 2 minutes it takes, the installation continues normally at the same speed

You forgot to mention which program you're talking about and whether it happens with other installations too. I haven't seen anything like that in the few things I've installed since.

You receive it through Windows Update even if you're not enrolled in Insider.

This updates the 26100.2 build to the latest version.

I'm staying on this build. I'm no longer in the WIP.

whats WDDM version on 24h2?

To enable the larger set of animated Widgets taskbar icons (example: new animated "Mostly cloudy" at night icon) and the clearer icon improvements rolling out to Insiders and those who have installed KB5036980, run:

vivetool /enable /id:48969045

(You might need to enable one of 48433719 or 48468527 if the above doesn't work.)
