I have toggled on this feature and it works fine, I really like the improved CPU calculation(New CPU utilization for the Processes) in the Task Manager.

I've been using Process Lasso for years since Windows 7. This takes care of this same feature.

Anyone else running with a local account configuration get a new push to set up an on-line account and store your stuff on MS's Cloud after installing KB5058411?

They really didn't want to let me out without agreeing. Even after I declined all their options... they still tried to get me to sign in. I suspect most average users would have been roped in.

I have a Local account. But MS hasn't been bothering me.

I don't use OneDrive and have uninstalled most of the MS Apps, if that matters.

Yeah, same here. Not all apps, but the annoying ones I'll never need :-). MS hasn't needled me in the past.

But as soon as I rebooted after this KB and signed on, the desktop sort of appeared (no task bar) and then MS gave me the hard push. Must be some app that stimulated this.

Okay, so I am having one thing I notice after the update.

You know, on the log-in screen there is those options like "Like what you see?" and the black icons next to the text? well on my log-in screen there are three of them and two of them have broken icons appearing as white rectangles, which is usually seen on unsupported Unicode characters.

not sure what's up.

KB5058411 (OS Build 26100.4061) installed fast on my 2 systems, Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth completed also fast on one system but it took 20 minutes on the second laptop and SFC found a corrupted file that was repaired. Storage Sense found 2.5GB redundant data in Temp that I purged.

    Upgraded from Windows 10 Home to Windows 11 Home on 28 Oct 2023
This update completely shut down my fav Bing bloatware including search box image. Editing Integratedpolicies JSON file now doesn't work, since I guess Bing app can't receive data from the server. So i don't have Search Highlights and the picture of the day when opening Windows search. I don't understand why Microsoft keeps fighting against its own services..

The question you should be asking is "which of my tweaks prevented Windows 11 24h2 from updating". :unsure:

Updated with no problems. Dism restore health and sfc both completed with no problems. I did have to wait quite a long time on the ARM laptop for Dism restore health to finish - it hung for quite a few minutes at 62.7% which suggests some frantic activity in the background.
Otherwise no change noticed from the preview update.

Interesting, I never noticed that before. On the first system that I checked this looks just fine. On the second system I have the first number messed up (where you have 7.42 TB) but the second number that is messed up for you is fine for me.

0- Wiped my SSD and HDD with PartedMagic
1- Created Win11-26100.4061 with UUPDump on another device
2- Integrated other updates and system drivers and silent installers of driver utilities with NTLite
3- Cleaned up the component store using DISM
4- Created the iso
5- installed on my laptop and now I have a fresh Windows with pre-installed latest official drivers and updates.
No bugs yet, SFC and DISM found no errors.
I think it's a bit faster now

Glad to know that people had a smooth update to build 26100.4061.

I had a small issue. My machine got stuck at 97% installing the update. I waited for about 45 minutes for the update to finish. But it didn't finish. So I tried to restart Windows. The machine couldn't restart. The circling dot turned on and on. Then I had to turn off the machine using the physical button on the case. The machine turned off. I don't have fast startup active. Then I turned the machine on and Windows started to install the update. The install was successful. SFC came up clean. No problems at all for now to my knowledge.

My machine is partly incompatible (for the negative minds) or partly compatible (for the positive minds) with Windows 11. Could be the reason why I had this inconvenience. But Windows 11 always finds a way out to the sunshine.

The answer "seems" to be... none.
And I'll probably have to wait till the end of the month, to know for sure. 🤷‍♂️


I suspect it might have been a Vivetool tweak, so I haven't done any of those... this time.
