Keep network card awake

If I leave my laptop shut down for 3 or more days, then when I power it on again, wifi is disconnected and I have to connect it manually, it seems the network card was put to sleep.

Some of the network card power management options available in Windows 10 were omitted in Windows 11. Is there any setting in Windows 11 to keep network card always awake?

Question: Are you using the WFi adapter drivers provided by the laptop manufacturer or do you have generic MediaTek drivers? For laptops especially, it is important to use the manufacturer supplied drivers.

I'm not saying for a certainty that this would cause the issue that you are seeing, but it is one item to check.

Oh, I just had another idea. This seems to be a recurring theme here: Problems caused by fast startup. Try this:
Open Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do > Change settings that are currently unavailable. If enabled, disable Fast Startup and save the changes.

I realize that you may not know if this solves the issue for a while, but please report back whether this ends up helping or not.

Personal note: I disable this option on every single machine I own. There are a number of different issues that it is known to cause, and I find it easier to simply turn it off as part of my normal Windows setup procedures than to run into some other oddity that I end up having to troubleshoot at a later date.
