Using Windows 11 Pro on a laptop.

Is there an option or feature or add-on, etc. that produces an audible click (typewriter sound) when a key is pressed?

I have a mechanical keyboard on which the keys actually do make sound, so I can't test this.
But it seems to be what you're looking for...

A lot of folks want an audible sound when caps lock, scroll lock or number lock is pressed. That can be done natively in Windows through Ease of Access. I've never used any third party tools for key clicks. It's just always followed whether or not the type keyboard I used was a silent or mechanical keyboard. Those mechanical KBs didn't last long around here. The clicking breaks my train of thought. It's all a matter of what one likes, just like everything else.

Well I had the same issue. A laptop without LEDs, so I couldn't tell if Caps Lock or Num Lock were on until I pressed a key. I don't know about a sound, but I had found a utility that displays small virtual LEDs at the taskbar. It was called Keyboard LEDs:
