Known and Resolved issues for Windows 11 version 21H2

  • Staff

Current status as of November 16, 2021 (PT)

In our first phases of the Windows 11 rollout we are consistently seeing a high rate of positive update experiences and user feedback for eligible devices, identified using our latest generation machine learning model. Based on this data, we are advancing the pace of the rollout faster than we originally announced, and now making the Windows 11 upgrade more broadly available to eligible Windows 10 devices. We recommend that you upgrade your devices to Windows 11 to take advantage of the latest features and advanced protections from security threats. We will continue to train our machine learning model throughout the phased rollout to deliver a smooth upgrade experience. We will also provide status updates as we further increase availability over time.

If you are using Windows 10, you can determine if your device is eligible for the upgrade using the PC Health Check app or checking Windows 11 specs, features, and computer requirements. If you have an eligible device, open Windows Update Settings and select Check for updates. Once the upgrade is ready for your device, you will see the option to download and install. Eligible Windows 10 devices must be on version 2004 or later, and have installed the Sept. 14, 2021 servicing update or later, to upgrade directly to Windows 11.

For more information on the Windows 11 upgrade experience, watch this video.

Boy oh boy, this windows are going to need a lot of work. Some annoying things I could live without:
Taskbar loose clock and everything on right side some times, only restart fixes it.
When set to hiding Taskbar looses focus to many applications and doesn't show when cursor is on it.
Right click menu on desktop or File Explorer is either slow or needs several clicks to stay on but in applications works fine.
Some windows also loose focus and open behind open ones instead to come at top.
Some items in Settings don't show anything, this one for instance

Hi,
Yeah I had some right click issues directly after getting to desktop but restart and the bug was gone this is after using the upgrade path not clean install.
Redragon mouse driver was still there and working
Realtek sound driver gone.
GPU driver stayed the same 461.09 version

It started only after the last Cumulat6ive update.
Simple, just restore your image copy of the OS prior to the CU, and then hold off applying updates until you hear there is a fix or workaround.

Still the same warning on the Eizo website not to use Windows 11 when running an Eizo display.

It's bewildering, Apple have left srgb, many smartphones have wide gamut screens, even a machine like microsoft's own surface pro has a wide gamut display. So it is not as if an Eizo user is living in a small and select world....
Still, reliable display color management is still way, way below on microsoft's priority list.

* Due to a bug in the OS, it is not possible to get the ICC profile information even though the ICC profile has been correctly applied to the OS.
There is currently no solution within the software settings.
We highly recommend not using a PC installed with Microsoft Windows 11 for the time being.

An issue I have found; after the last cumulative update, Win11 keeps throwing my Logitech BRIO 4k webcam out after a system restart or boot:ffs:
My Brio 4k has been fine.

Just want to add my Brio 4K is also working without issue. I'm on the RTM version of 11 (22000.282). System listed in system one.
