    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

Good morning / afternoon folks.

Feeling better today, bundled up yesterday, got under the covers, fell asleep, woke up a sweaty mess, but I think the fever had cleared, head feel a little clearer as well. Some of the joint aches have disappeared. For lunch I had chicken soup, same for dinner & then some yogurt before i went to bed to help replace the gut bacteria AB's supposedly kill off..

Normally being Friday I would be having a wee dram our 2, but I'm putting that on hold.

@Caledon Ken, don't know exactly what I it was but I ran it through googles AI complete with symptoms & a timeline as they appeared throughout the day. I got this response:

Thank you everyone for the good thoughts & prayers, they were much appreciated. This really knocked me on my ass, also, taking care of my Wife while going though this was really hard to do. But I did it....somehow.

So while typing this the nurse showed up. And yep....a new issue.

The last nurse that was here was instructed to wrap the wound loosely, apparently she wrapped it too loosely, because when the nurse took the dressing off her wound had little maggots on it. She called wound care & was told she needed to go to the ER immediately. So she just left with the ambulance.

So it never ends, I'm thinking I could relax today & recover....no rest for the wicked I suppose.

The last nurse that was here was instructed to wrap the wound loosely, apparently she wrapped it too loosely, because when the nurse took the dressing off her wound had little maggots on it. She called wound care & was told she needed to go to the ER immediately. So she just left with the ambulance.

So it never ends, I'm thinking I could relax today & recover....no rest for the wicked I suppose.

When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. Yeah.. its rare we get those heatwaves... i think i only have experienced those 5 or at most 8 times my entire life where the temperature have been 31-37C for more then one/two days... if i count even those one day events.. then perhaps 10-15 times in my entire life. :-)

I'm glad to hear you start feeling a bit better today... But I'm sad to hear she had to go to the ER and it sounds really heavy about the wound. I hope they can cure/fix it directly.
