Actually driving wasn't as bad as I had feared. With the windows open and a bit of a breeze it was quite bearable.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

She's being released today, but...it won't be till about 3 PM. So she's not going to make the wound care appt, but I was told wound care from the hosp was in there yesterday eve & they looked at the wound, cleaned & changed the dressing, so she should be OK. Now hopefully the Nurse shows up on Fri like she normally does.

Hopefully they left some directions for me to follow on the caring for the wound, changing schedule, etc.....

So she's either getting released today or she isn't. Had a doc call me yesterday afternoon, apparently the issue is she has an infection around the skin graft, hence the AB's they giving her & the need to monitor them.

I explained everything to the doc about the appt, etc, but told her if she needs to stay longer to get that infection taken care of then please keep her as long as needed. The doc said she will see what her blood work looks like today. Meanwhile I called the wound clinic, they know the situation & for now everything is up in the air until I hear something this morn. I'm not worried about the appt if it means she can stay there & get better care then she can at home, I made that clear to the doc.
