Good morning / afternoon folks.

Another warm day with humidity creeping in.

@Bree, news said you broke a record for the second day in a row. Hope you're staying cool.

Hope you all have a good safe Fri.

I have to change the bandage on my Wifes wound Sat, she's already getting upset about me doing it. I told her I watched the nurse very closely (several times) & I know all the steps. I know it hurts her when the bandage needs changed but it has to be done.

She has an appt with the wound clinic & her primary doc on the 7th, once again I pulled a rabbit out of the hat & got both appts on the same day. Gave me a headache, but I did it....somehow.

Thursday they are calling for temps in the 100's, at this point at least.

Re MS extending ESU. I'll be the price of new computers had something to do with it. People would have a very bad taste in their mouth having to finally abandon a working device for a very high price device. Not that MS usually cares about people but I bet it came up.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.
