Morning Marie,

Well, he did want me to go to the hospital. I told him I don't have that option, being I need to care for my Wife.

I get worried, what if something happens to me & I have to be admitted. There's no one there to cook/take care of her. She can't even get on the potty herself. I just hope things go well down the road & I'm able to be there for her all the time.

When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

Unfortunately no. Most of her friends don't come around anymore since she had the strokes, her Mom is 76 & can barely walk, her brother lives in SoCali & most of her family is spread out over the map in the USA, so yeah, I'm the only source of care that she has, unfortunatlely.:(

Afternoon Bree.

Well, the downstairs is staying cool because it doesn't get much afternoon sun due to the front porch overhang.

However, the bedroom upstairs is another story, it gets the full brunt of the afternoon sun. The AC is having problems keeping up, when I went to bed last night at 9 it was 81 F in the room. it gets cooler as the night goes on, right now it's 73 F in the room, but that'll change as the day goes on, mostly in the afternoon when the sun hits the house, then it starts going up.

Today my VW Polo is at my local garage being fixed. For the past few days three warning lights have been coming on simultaneously, the ABS, ESP, and tyre pressure warnings. None of these are essentials, so I could continue driving as normal.

All 3 systems rely on the wheel rotation sensors. Apparently the rear nearside one had failed. Should be ready to pick up later this afternoon.

The joys of having a modern car stuffed full of electronics! 🤣

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

Well, the downstairs is staying cool because it doesn't get much afternoon sun due to the front porch overhang.

However, the bedroom upstairs is another story, it gets the full brunt of the afternoon sun. The AC is having problems keeping up, when I went to bed last night at 9 it was 81 F in the room. it gets cooler as the night goes on, right now it's 73 F in the room, but that'll change as the day goes on, mostly in the afternoon when the sun hits the house, then it starts going up.

I'd be tempted to sleep downstairs for a while.....

Now that's funny, they just had to add wi fi to it. :rolleyes:

Right now we have to stay with what we have, got lots of hosp bills. Both units we have are 5000 BTU, the downstairs stays around the mid 70's due to the fan I have to circulate the cold air coming from the unit.

the upstairs usually keeps it cool enough, I put a blanket over the doorway to keep the cool in, but lately with this heat there's no way it's keeping up.

Yep, everything closed up.

Well, it's not too bad because the air itself isn't humid, it's a bit warm but has a touch of cool, so it's tolerable when I go to sleep, just don't use any covers for the 1st part of the night.

sadly i know the phenomenon.. after i got my Hypothyroidism so i no longer had the energy to go out and hang out with my friends and doing stuff.. they all dropped off over time. So sadly i know what you mean with first hand experience.. and that is why i dont have any help packing my apartment now.
So i wish and hope you never have to stay at the hospital or other so you can go home to her directly.
I also hope that they can offer some temporary home-care if you ever need to stay overnight as a backup solution. :-)
