If i turn back the clock to the mid 90's.. i used to go out for a run 5km 6 days a week....... now i will be happy if i have the energy to even walk 1km.
Back in 2010 when this car was new I'd take it to my local VW dealer for servicing. That was a 3 mile walk home (4.8km) - and up hill too for the first part, rising some 305ft (93m). The walk back to pick it up was a lot easier - downhill for the last half
In 2017 when it was well out of warranty I switched to using a local garage that I knew and trusted. Of course we didn't have heatwaves like this back then so the walk was quite pleasant (unless it rained).
