Ok, I'm back.

They gave me 1 shot at the ER, I need to go in on Mon to get another one & that's it. Also have to go on antibiotics to avoid infection.

The ER was abuzz with some news about cats, apparently yesterday a rabid cat attacked 4 people in town.

Damn thing, I feed it.

I know it was cared but I picked it up gently & then all of a sudden it went crazy & bit me. I cornered it in the laundry room, this time I threw a blanket over it. Couldn't do that the 1st time since it was wedged tween the hallway dresser & the wall.

This is what I get for being nice to animals.

It bit me on the thumb pretty good, put rubbing alcohol on it right away.

Anyway, I'm off to the pharm.

Darn shots.. they isn't fun.
Perhaps you should get one of those protecting gloves that protect against knifes etc.. i know the swedish police have them and also they can be bought in some stores here.
Those who work with wild animals probibly have something like it to avoid getting seriously bitten etc.

A late good afternoon all.

Mower runs great. Then I decided to wash all the first floor windows on the outside. Did the inside of the windows yesterday. Clean windows look amazing but only stay that way until the first rain.

Well, I can't say I'm used to them, more like I tolerate them better. During my radiation treatments they had to take blood 2X a week for 2 1/2 months to monitor my white cell count.

So that's where I learned about asking for a pediatric or butterfly needle, smaller then the normal adult one (green cap)

I mention green cap because a pediatric needle has a black cap, had some nurses pull out a adult one anyway. When I politely told them that's an adult needle, they were surprised & switched to the right needle.

One thing that does help, take a deep breath right before they stick you (ask them to give you warning), then exhale right before you get stuck. It helps relax the body & it's not that bad/tight feeling.

Yeah i have a vague memory we discussed needles on 10Forums.. i said I'm afraid of needles.

I do the same.. i tell them to warn when they stick, so i can take a deep breath and also to ignore the reflex of moving my arm.

So i can handle it.. even I'm afraid of needles

I am used to getting stuck due to being a beekeeper, sometimes getting stung 3 to 4 hundred times a day if the bees are in a bad mood. Getting a needle is nothing to me; I barely feel it.

The way it works is that when the thread gets 'too long' John (z3r010) will split the thread into two, closing this one (LOTPW [5]) and using the last few posts as the start of a new LOTPW [6]. Technically the 'last one to post' is more likely to become the OP of the new thread

What's 'too long'? Only John knows. John's decision is random, final, and cannot be influenced/coerced/bribed.

This game started on Ten Forums where 'too long' was a function of available server resources and limitations of the old forum software. A very long thread could actually slow the forum server to a crawl until John split the offending thread. Some bright spark noticed this and turned it into a game

With upgraded servers and modern forum software there probably isn't a real post length limit now, but John still splits this thread at random to keep the fun going :thumbsup:
