Well lawn cut. I also addressed all the bare spots, broke ground up, raked off thatch and spread dirt and seed. Now to keep it wet for a week so it germinates. Always something to do around the house.

Beautiful day outside today in the Canadian North-West. So glad I got my X299 WS platform up and running again. (Typing on it right now as a test.)
All my PCs are named after Greek tragedies. Andronikos is now showing all the system RAM and hardware tests on Intel's site confirms that the hardware is running correctly. Had quite the scare this spring when the board simply would not boot. Alas, the CMOS reset changed a lot despite the fact that the reset fixed nothing. I had to change the placement of the heat sink for the CPU cooler by rotating it to exhaust through the top of the case. Wasn't sure if I could do that as I had to reverse the mounting brackets so that the base of the heat sink lined up correctly with the lid of the CPU. This helped but it was only one step in the process of getting the unit to boot. The Micron DDR4 RAM was another factor. Event though everything worked fine before I had to re-seat the RAM. The other part of it was Thunderbolt, which I haven't attempted to introduce back into the system. I have to rebuild everything back from scratch. For now all settings are standard with the exception of RAID as the system was originally configured for RAID. Yes, it's going to take a while. For now, I'm going to catch up on the updates.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to lid hinges starting to break up this laptop has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

    I've now clean installed 25H2 and used Garlin's scripts to update Secure Boot to CA 2023 and revoke the PCA 2011 certificates. It's new role is to test secure boot issues.

    Info for 2021-2026:
    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

August 7th here. I have a good excuse. There's a tent set up in my back yard for my daughter's up and coming birthday. She likes 'camping out' with her friends on her birthday. I do the steaks over the campfire coals which gives them a genuine smokey flavor that beats a barbecue to shame. This has become a tradition and all her friends know it. Good thing I only do it once a year. Those T-bones are getting pricey.

Well folks, they didn't do the procedure today.

The reason being is she's having problems drinking all that prep. Looks like a damn 2 gallon jug, maybe 1 1/2.

I had to inform the nurses she has had a gastric bypass, so she can't guzzle stuff or eat a lot at once.

They said she is scheduled for morrow, and since she hasn't had a movement they have to wait until she does. I told them she's been on a liquid diet for 3 days now, can she even have a movement???? They said they'll see what things look like morrow morn.

Yeah that one depends on what liquid diet.. some do give a tiny bit movement if it contains fiber and so on.. some don't give any movement at all.
